This privacy policy governs your use of the iHRMS-Punjab mobile application hosted at NIC's e-Gov Mobile App Account in Google Play Store. Contents published on these applications were provided by the concerned Departments/Boards/Corporations of Government of Punjab as per the Orders of Punjab Government for the implementation of iHRMS. This information may not have any legal sanctity and is for general reference only, unless otherwise specified. Though every effort has been made to provide accurate and reliable information, users are advised to verify the correctness of the facts from the concerned authorities. National Informatics Centre, Punjab will not be responsible for the accuracy and correctness of the contents available in the application as this is the responsibility of the government entities of Punjab.

User provided information

The application will work based upon authenticated login ID and password provided to the employee at the time of registration by the establishment office. Please keep in mind that you may not be able to use features offered by the application unless a correct login ID and password are provided.

Automatically collected information

In addition, the application may collect certain information automatically, including but not limited to: the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device's unique device ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile internet browsers you use, and information about the way you use the application.

Disclosure of information

We may disclose user provided and automatically collected information:

As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process.

When we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.

With our trusted service providers who work on our behalf, do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.

Data retention policy

We will retain user provided data for as long as you use the application and for a reasonable time thereafter. Automatically collected information will also be retained for a reasonable period depending on the nature of the application, and may thereafter be stored in aggregate. Some or all of the user provided data may be required for the application to function properly.

Misuse by non-targeted users

All mobile apps are meant for use by the targeted audience only. Misuse by non-targeted users should be prevented by the owner of the mobile device. Keep your mobile password/pattern protected so that it may not be misused or changed. Also keep changing your password on hrms.punjab.gov.in at regular intervals, as the username and password are provided and updated through the web application.

We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. Access to this information is limited to authorized employees who need to know it in order to operate, develop, or improve our application. Please be aware that, although we endeavour to provide reasonable security, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.
